Xavier Gilmore Earns Postseason Recognition
CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced on Monday their selections for the 2026 Baseball All-Conference rosters. The CCAC Selects one player in each position to be a part of the "Gold Glove" team as well as a first and second team, each being comprised of 17 individuals. This year, the V-Hawks represent one of the selections.
Xavier Gilmore, an outfielder from Washington, was named to the first team after another successful season. The senior earns this award for the second time in his career, being named to the first team last season as well.
Gilmore was a key piece of the V-Hawk offense. He finished the season with a 0.393 batting average and a 0.573 slugging percentage. Throughout the season, he appeared in every game for the V-Hawks, making 150 at bat appearances for 59 hits. He contributed six doubles, three trips, and five home runs, as well as 22 RBIs.
Once on base, Gilmore was able to collect 18 stolen bases to assist in scoring 31 runs for the V-Hawks. From the field, the outfielder finished with a 0.968 fielding percentage. He had 90 putouts in the season with two assists and only three errors through 42 games.
Gilmore and the V-Hawks finished the season with an 11-34 record overall and a 7-25 conference record.
