V-Hawks Finish Second in the AMC Championships
COLUMBIA, MO -- The V-Hawk Competitive Dance team traveled to Columbia this weekend to face off in the AMC Championships for the second year. The V-Hawks came away from the competition with a second-place finish, recording their highest score in program history. Beyond that, the V-Hawks claimed All-Conference Honors for all eight of the dancers as well as their head coach Anna Luz.
In the morning, the V-Hawks competed in the preliminary round of competition, scoring a 90.92, which placed them in second behind Saint Ambrose. The V-Hawks strived for more and claimed a program-record 91.14 score in the final round, finishing in second place. Their score of 91.14 breaks their previous best of 91.05 that was set in February of 2025 at a dual versus Morningside. With their high scores, the V-Hawks bump up to ninth overall in the NAIA for acerage score with an 87.93 through seven qualifying competitions.
