V-Hawks Struggle on the Road, Colin Adams Notches 1000th Career Point

UNIVERSITY PARK, Ill. -- The V-Hawks traveled to University Park this weekend to face off against the Jaguars of Governors State. The V-Hawks eventually fell to the Jaguars 78-65 in the 40 minutes of play. With the loss, the V-Hawks move to 6-13 overal and 4-9 in the CCAC while the Jaguars improve to 17-7 overall and 11-3 in the conference. 

The V-Hawks were led offensively by Colin Adams. Adams put up 18 points for the V-Hawks on 8-16 shooting from the field. With his 13th point of the night, Colin Adams surpassed 1,000 career points, becoming the 39th V-Hawks to complete this accomplishment. Landon Thousand also added 14 points on the offensive side as well as four assists. Defensively, the V-Hawks were led by Colin Adams as well. He added six rebounds and one steal to the tally. Braden Crubel also added four rebounds and two steals for the V-Hawk defense.

  • Four points from Adams brought the V-Hawks within six
  • Two more from Adams and a three from Thousand put the V-Hawks down four

  • Out of the half, Colin Adams scored early
  • Two points from Treyton Fletcher gave the V-Hawks a two point deficit
  • The Jaguars pulled away throughout the half
  • Late scoring from Jack Voigt and Braden Crubel pulled the V-Hawks up
  • The V-Hawks eventually fell to the Jaguars 78-65

The V-Hawks will travel to Palos Heights, Ill. to face off against the Trinity Christian Trolls. The game is set for Wednesday, February 4 at 6PM
