Viterbo Places Third at Final GLBC
APPLETON, Wis. – The Viterbo University Men's Bowling team competed in the GLBC IV this past weekend. The V-Hawks placed third of 21 teams with 8247 pins, 3089 from the baker games.
Nate VanderBeek from UW-Whitewater claimed the individual crown totaling 1169 pins (233.8 avg).
Nate Arias, the top performing V-Hawk placed second overall averaging 229.6 pins per game over five games (1148 total) making the all-tournament team. Only 13 pins apart Brayton Fandrich and Austin Calmes would place 13th with a 207.4 pin average (1037 total) and 204.8 average (1024 total) respectively. Rylan Schnieder would be the next V-Hawk to finish in 30th with a 195.8 pin average (979 total), followed by Anthony Pope in 81st averaging 201 over four games (804 total). The final varsity finisher was Mason Barsness totaling 166 pins in one game.
The men's JV team would place fourth of nine teams, Caden Schmitting placing 19th overall totaling 1022 pins (204.4 avg) over five games. In 61st Isaiah Ray bowled 897 (179.4 avg), followed by Alex Dahlin and Seth Bailey one pin apart with 791 and 790 respectively. The final two V-Hawks to finish were Brandon Kantola and Dylan Sader, Kantola with 639 pins over four games and Dahlin with 134 in one game.
The V-Hawks return to action February 15 for the V-Hawk Invitational at Plamor Lanes.
