JJ Kaczynski Earns Conference Weekly Honors

CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday their weekly selections for the CCAC honor roll. Each week, the conference selects the best golfer from the conference from the previous week of competition. This week, Viterbo's JJ Kaczynski was honored as the CCAC Golfer of the Week. 

Kaczynski earns this honor for the first time in his career after an outstanding weekend of competition at the Luther Spring Classic. At the competition, Kaczynski took home an individual championship, shooting three over for the two-day competition. Each day featured an 18-hole round. 

On day one, Kaczynski shot a 73, just one over par. Through the first nine, he was two under with two birdies on the fifth and sixth holes. On the back, he went three over, collecting a birdie on the tenth hole. On day two, he shot a 74 (+2). Through the front nine, Kaczynski was one under with three birdies. On the back, he finishes with a 39 (+3). Overall, Kaczynski dominated the field, finishing two strokes ahead of his next competitor.

Kaczynski and the V-Hawks continue to play this week at the CCAC Championships.
