V-Hawks Take Third at Luther Spring Classic, Kaczynski with Individual Win

DECORAH, Iowa -- The V-Hawks returned to the course this past weekend to compete in the Luther Spring Classic. The meet, hosted by Oneota Golf and Country Club, featured two days of competition in which each day featured an 18-hole round. Through the 36 total holes of competition, the V-Hawk team came out in third place. Impressively, JJ Kaczynski took home the individual championship with his three-over performance. 

Throughout the two days, the V-Hawks were led by a strong performance by Kaczynski. On day one, he led the team with a 73 (+1) stroke performance. He had three birdies throughout the day. On the second day, he finished with a 74 (+2), securing the individual championship with a final score of +3 through two days. Klyne Johnson came in next for the V-Hawks, shooting 15 over and tying for 14th. Aaron Mork tied for 16th with a +16 finish, and Ethan Thomas rounded out the team scoring with a T22 finish (+20). 

Several other V-Hawks were competing as individuals on the day as well. Dalton Collins led the individuals with a T11 finish, shooting 13 over. Esdyn Swenby finished tied for 16th, Trevor Hinz finished tied for 25th, and Steffen Larson finished tied for 27th.
