V-Hawks compete at Kegel Classic
ADDISON, Ill. -- The V-Hawks traveled to Illinois to compete in their first bowling meet of 2026 on Saturday and Sunday. There were 55 teams competing in the competition, and the V-Hawks came out with a 34th place finish.
The highlight for the V-Hawks was Emily Newbauer. Emily finished in 40th place overall out of 366 total bowlers. Her score of a 970 earned her the 40th place finish. Shortly behind her was Courtney Keller in 99th place with an 899. Alyssa Newbauer brought in an 876 for 121st, Thea Laffin bowled a 786 for 175th, and Cierra Bollinger rounded it out for a 738 and 190th.
As a team, the V-Hawks bowled a final score of 6938.
