V-Hawks Take Fifth at Conference Championships
UNIVERSITY PARK, Ill. -- The V-Hawks took to the course on Monday and Tuesday to compete in the CCAC Championships. Throughout the two days of competition, the V-Hawks secured fifth place, defeating Saint Xavier. The V-Hawks shot a 753 as a team.
On day one, the V-Hawks were led by Rachel Boe. Rachel shot an 86 on the first day to be the only V-Hawk to score under 90 on day one. Lillia Rather shot a 90 on the first day to be second on the team. Elise Tomashek came in shortly behind with a 92 and the V-Hawks rounded out their top-four with a 98-stroke performance from Mattie Albright.
On the second day, the V-Hawks were led by Lillia Rather. Rather shot a 91 on day two to finish with a team-high 181 through the two days. Elise Tomashek shot a 94 on the second day followed by a 100 from Mattie Albright. Rachel Boe was the final one in for the top four with a 102-stroke performance.
Overall, the V-Hawks finished with a 753 as a team. Lillia Rather led with a 181 followed by Elise Tomashek's 186. Rachel Boe contributed a 188 score for the competition and Mattie Albright finished with a 198.
