V-Hawks Take Second at CCAC Championships
JOLIET, Ill. -- The V-Hawks traveled to Joliet over the weekend to compete in the CCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Throughout the two days of competition, the V-Hawks came home with 26 lifetime personal bests, 18 season bests, 14 all-conference honorees, two conference champions, two national qualifiers, a school record, and a field athlete MVP.
The highlight of the weekend was a massive performance from Izzy Keck. Keck sailed to a conference championship in the pole vault when she launched 4.03m into the air. Keck's vault is the second best in the NAIA this season, a new school record, a national qualifying jump, and a new meet record. Her conference championship alongside her runner-up performance in the high jump earned her the honor of Most Outstanding Field Athlete at the 2026 CCAC Championships. Keck also earned this honor for the indoor season back in February.
The other highlight from the weekend was a conference championship from Kaylie Wiedmeyer. Kaylie earned a first place finish in the hammer throw with a 44.11m performance. Her throw was a new personal best and earned her a conference championship for the first time in her career.
