ELGIN, Ill. -- The V-Hawks faced off against the Eagles of Judson on Saturday in the final regular season conference match of the year. The V-Hawks eventually fell to the Eagles 1-0 in a tightly contested battle. The V-Hawks played most of the game with ten players due to an early card.
Kickoff happened at 2:30 pm, and immediately action begun. An early shot by Judson was saved by the V-Hawks, and a second shot minutes later was saved yet again. Judson earned a corner kick 15 minutes into the game, but the V-Hawks fought it off. The first shot by the V-Hawks came in the 17th minute, but it was off-target. The rest of the half was very back and forth, and neither team took another shot.
In the second half, Judson came out with a shot in the 49th minute, but it was missed high. The V-Hawks got a couple of chances with a shot by Mateo Torres and a shot by Sebastian Acosta in the 56th and 57th minute. Both goals were saved by the Judson goalkeeper. Judson scored in the 63rd minute to take the 1-0 lead. The V-Hawks continued to fight, taking two more shots late in the match, but both were off target, and the V-Hawks fell to the Eagles 1-0.
Despite the loss, the V-Hawks retain their second place standing in the CCAC.

The V-Hawks host the CCAC Tournament Quarterfinals on Wednesday, November 5th. Kickoff is at 1pm against the Jaguars of Governors State.
