V-Hawks Struggle against Jaguars on the Road
UNIVERSITY PARK, Ill. -- The V-Hawks traveled to Illinois on Wednesday to face off against the Jaguars of Governors State. In their second matchup of the year, the V-Hawks were looking to sweet the series, but the Jaguars had other plans. The V-Hawks fell to the Jaguars 74-56 and drop to 12-12 overall and 10-7 in conference play. The Jaguars improve to 17-9 overall and 12-6 in the conference.
Offensively, Carly Drew led for the V-Hawks, picking up another double-digit night of scoring. Drew put up 16 points for the V-Hawks, going 5-9 from the field, and 2-3 from three. Nora Tucker added 10 points to the V-Hawk effort as well. Both Marley Hughes and Chloe Auth contributed four assist towards the V-Hawks offensive efforts. Defensively, the V-Hawks were led by Pearla Teko-Folly and Chloe Auth. Each had six rebounds on the night. Nora Tucker picked up three steals to the tally as well.

- Out of the half, the V-Hawks scored five quick points off of Teko-Folly and Drew
- Governors State continued responding to V-Hawk efforts
- The V-Hawks were down 21 points going into the fourth
- More scoring from Carly Drew and Nora Tucker kept fighting the V-Hawks back
- Zuzanna Pacak scored last for the V-Hawks, and the V-Hawks fell 74-56 on the road

The V-Hawks will return to the road this weekend. The will travel to Indiana South Bend where they will face off against the team at 12PM on Saturday, February 14.
